The firm of James Reilly & Son is one of the longest established legal practices in the South East, having been set up by James Reilly in 1926. He was succeeded by his son, the late Tom Reilly, who was largely responsible for the preservation of the West Gate in Clonmel when it was threatened with demolition in the late 1960’s. The practice was carried on by his sons Michael who subsequently became a District Court Judge and is now the Inspector of Prisons, and Peter. The current Partners are Peter Reilly, Sinead Kennedy and Maura Hennessy.
